Alan Downing

After studies at Lausanne University, Alan trained as a journalist in South Africa and worked for 15 years in international news for Argus Africa News (Cape Town), Agence France-Presse (Paris), Swiss Radio International (Bern) and as a correspondent accredited to the United Nations in Geneva.
In 1979, hired by Digital Equipment Corporation, Geneva, Alan wrote advertising, in-house publications and a computing magazine. He continued writing this magazine after leaving the company in 1982.

In 1983, Alan set up his own editorial offices, providing writing, translation and editing services to industries, banks, publishers and communication agencies, with a great expertise in the financial services, watches and luxury goods industries.

Bilingual in English and French, Alan also speaks German, as well as some Swedish.

A member of our external consultants, Alan developed close relations with Rochat & Partners since they were founded in 1990.
